Kuwait City: 10th September 2024: Banks in Kuwait to Close 3 Days

The Kuwait Banking Association has announced that all banks in Kuwait will be closed on Sunday, September 15, 2024, in observance of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday for the year 1446 AH. This closure is in line with the celebration of this significant religious occasion.

15th September 2024 (Sunday)

In a recent press statement, the Kuwait Banking Association confirmed that the decision to close the banks on this date follows a directive from the Central Bank of Kuwait. The circular issued by the Central Bank highlights the importance of the Prophet’s birthday and aligns with the nation’s recognition of this important event.

Banks will resume their normal business hours on Monday, September 16, 2024. Customers are advised to plan their banking activities accordingly to avoid any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure.
