KPC to change the way of indemnity calculation for newly-appointed expatriates
Kuwait Petroleum Corp (KPC) has instructed all oil companies to change the way they calculate the end of service indemnity for newly-appointed expatriates.
At present, end of service indemnity is calculated on the basis of 30 days a year for the first five years and then 45 days annually thereafter.
According to local news report, they have decided to reduce it by applying the labor law in the private sector which stipulates 15 days each year for the first five years and then 30 days for each year thereafter.
