New Law in Kuwait 5000 KD Fine and Jail for Cash Car Purchases

Kuwait City: September 23, 2024:

The Ministry of Kuwait has implemented New Law in Kuwait 5000 KD Fine severe sanctions for car purchases made with cash. If this ban is proven to be violated, there will be harsh penalties, such as fines between KD 500 and KD 5,000 and possibly even a month or two of jail time.

Important Aspects of the New Law:

Serious Penalties: Using cash to buy an automobile is now considered a crime that carries a high risk of penalties and jail time.

Vehicle Seizure: Without violating the rights of any other parties, authorities are permitted to seize the car that was used in the offense.

Business Repercussions: Companies who assist in these kinds of transactions risk having their licenses revoked permanently or being closed for up to three months.

Official Publication: The Kuwait Al-Youm gazette has officially published this regulation, indicating a strong commitment to implementing these new guidelines.
