Job description
The Application Specialist’s primary responsibility is to carry out the configuration and development activities for the company’s Microsoft Dynamics NAV system & Business Central and to resolve the end-user’s day-to-day issues. In addition to this, the NAV Developer will be required to analyze and contribute to functional specifications provided by business users and produce technical specifications in line with agreed standards, the primary focus will be technical liaison to business groups for application support along with Dynamics NAV development/customization, with additional activities using SQL and SSRS.

  • Configure, develop, and deliver MS Dynamics NAV & Business Central software and components in all functional areas.
  • Create new and modify existing customizations and integrations as requested by the business.
  • Debug system problems, and craft resolutions.
  • Write reports using C/AL, SSRS, and Visual Studio
  • Installation and implementation of service packs and hot fixes as needed.
  • Test functionality developed by the development team against business requirements.
  • Support and drive process change and communication in line with NAV best practice.
  • Coordinate and contribute to end-user training including development of system documentation and training materials.
  • Assist with functional specifications of customizations and integrations required for NAV implementations.
  • Take responsibility for the customized unit programming and overall system functionality.
  • Work with the Project Managers, Business Analyst and Consultants to understand the business / application requirements of the assigned task.
  • Take responsibility for delivering development tasks within agreed budgets and timelines.
  • Creation of technical documentation for all customizations and integrations
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification

  • Technical Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years technical expertise in developing Microsoft Dynamics NAV &Business Central required.
  • Experience customizing NAV 2009 R2, NAV 2015, NAV 2016, Business Central.
  • Familiarity with core business processes such as accounting, distribution, or manufacturing
  • Experience with converting data from legacy systems into Dynamics NAV
  • Experience with building applications in MS SQL 2014/2016, SSRS 2014/2016 preferred.
  • Dynamics NAV Development, Install and Configuration certifications preferred.
  • Functional knowledge of the Finance Management, Sales & Marketing, and Purchase, Warehouse

The core task of the Commercial Activity Leader is to develop sales in an efficient and effective way in all media in order to attract more customers to come more often and buy more. Do this by optimising sales priorities, commercial activities and ensuring the right forecasts for IKEA total offer.

Job Description

  • Sales steering top range priorities for the campaign, selling the IKEA way, news and launches. This ensures an enjoyable, convenient and successful shopping and buying experience in IKEA, which leads to increased sales and sustained long-term profitability by generating more traffic to our stores, using all internal and external media.
  • Work in collaboration with the Commercial Activity Team to lead the commercial calendar process in Country.
  • Do this by using knowledge of IKEA range, the national market, competition, our customers, and the experience and expertise of colleagues.
  • Support Regional Commercial Navigator in effective retail decision making by Providing accurate, relevant and user-friendly business information with the right tools and by analysing business information and identifying business opportunities by being an active partner in business development initiatives.
  • Knowing IKEA range, global priorities, volume commitments, national market and competition, using this information to contribute to the country commercial calendar.
  • Effectively working with, and influencing, the Country commercial team, marketing and other support functions to support the commercial calendar and store activities.
  • Proactively working with the commercial calendar and coordinating all country commercial offers and activities including free range. Forecast and plan the activities well in advance to ensure the correct stock availability and communicate these plans to the stores.
  • Supporting a fast implementation of planned activity changes, securing a red thread throughout the stores and external Medias, to ensure the most commercial expression at all times for IKEA customers.
  • Understanding the potential of country commercial opportunities and acting on these, by selecting and communicating our products effectively to maximise sales and generate more visits.
  • Selecting and using free range products to maximise commercial activities; securing the order process, from buying to delivery, and working with logistics to make sure the products are available. Support IKEA store commercial team to do the same
  • Communicating IKEA range offer in all internal and external media; showing a clear price and quality ladder, always ensuring a strong low-price message.
  • Supporting the stores in executing the commercial calendar, monitoring and acting on their sales results, major stock availability issues and working with logistics to following up on deviations, in order to share good solutions and improve poor performance.
  • Working with store commercial activity leaders by giving constructive feedback and to develop their commercial skills, encouraging them to share their ideas and successes.
  • Involved in country IKEA web presence strategy and plan that covers content, communication, tools and resources on the IKEA website, all digital platforms/devices and social media.
  • Ensuring that all actions are aligned with IKEA objective of becoming the leader in life at home and growing with sustained profitability

 

Qualification
Knowledge 

  • Interest in people’s everyday life at home and in home furnishing
  • Experience of working in a customer-focused service industry
  • Experience of setting and implementing long-term strategic plans, setting budgets and following up goals
  • Ability to prioritise and organise work and make the most efficient use of time available
  • Understand profit and loss and how to affect its result through departmental actions
  • Ability to set expectations and provide clear direction
  • Experience of using knowledge of customer behaviour to develop business plans
